She Once Fell Through the Street

Using the figure as a guide, I explore the push and pull between spirit and ego, where overcoming the ego becomes paramount in self discovery.  Abstraction liberates the internal chaos, allowing the contained figure relief from constraints.  Consequently, the female form represents a universal sexual drive and beauty that is the release of our sacral natural desires.  The work challenges people to question their preconceived molds and ultimately accepting themselves as powerful beings separate from the ego drive.
